Hematite & Rose Quartz Necklace. Triple twist Iron Ore 4.5mm bead with Rose Quartz and shell base pearl beads, silver finish beads and gold finish clasp. Length 47cm.

Hematite is an Iron rich ore which in ancient times was used to stop haemorrhages (The name derives from the Greek haima = blood).

In more recent times Hematite has been used in jewellery.  With a 5.5-6.5 hardness that allows for a beautiful polish, this stone makes magnificent beads that compliment many complexions.
