Mabe Pendant

Product Code SKU2065. 18ct Yellow Gold Mabe Pendant 35mm x 25mm. Mabe pearls are seeded half pearls using the same type of shell as is used for growing South Sea and Keshi Pearls. These pearls are formed around half sphere seeds attached to the inside of the shell which is then returned to the ocean to allow the pearl animal the opportunity to grow a coating of nacre over the seed which forms the Mabe Pearl. Beautifully presented on a display chain and gift boxed.
